Objective
Apply my education, experience, and skills in Occupational Therapy to provide quality therapy
for my clients and reliable service to my employer.
Credentials
Licensed as a COTA/L in the State of Connecticut, and nationally certified by the NBCOT
Experience Summary
I have worked with clients of all ages in both sub-acute rehab settings and school systems.
I have worked with: adults
to reach their highest level of independence with ADLs and IADLs through retraining, therapeutic
activities, exercise, adaptive equipment, and modalities; clients with developmental
disabilities to improve their life-skills using therapeutic activities, assistive technology
and adaptive equipment; and school children grades pre-K through high school
to improve their classroom skills and reach their IEP goals.
I have 22 years of experience working with my daughter (who is legally blind, has cerebral
palsy, complex partial seizure disorder, autistic behaviors and mental retardation) to improve her participation in
self-feeding, bathing, dressing, and leisure activities. I also have 20 years of experience with
computer technology, with a special interest in assistive technology.
